This specific item gives exceeded the prospect, this place has become a wonderfull upgrade on me personally, The thought appeared safely and rapidly The Point of the Deal: How to Negotiate When 'Yes' Is Not Enough

Why do so many business deals that look good on paper end up in tatters once they’re put into action? Because deal makers often treat the signed contract as the final destination in their bargaining journey—instead of the start of a cooperative venture. In The Point of the Deal, Danny Ertel and Mark Gordon show what negotiation looks like when the players involved strive to make the deal work in practice—not just on paper.

In this book, you’ll discover how to make the transition from concentrating on getting the deal done to focusing on what it takes to achieve value after the ink has dried. With a wealth of examples from multiple industries, countries, and functions, the authors illustrate how their approach to crafting an implementation mind-set works in all kinds of familiar business contexts—including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances, outsourcing arrangements, and customer and supplier relationships.

Review :
What happens after yes...YES!
As a person holding an "implementor" role in a global outsourcing firm, I felt as if the opening chapters of this book were scripted from our business model. Don't let the delivery folks into the room - they might speak the truth. Just get it sold -delivery will figure it out. And then both customer and supplier hang on for dear life for 3 to 7 years and pray that it doesn't happen again - but it does. This book should be required reading for every "deal team" and should help customers and suppliers alike move from deals with high failure rates to sustainable relationships with profit and performance enough to make even the most skeptical deal maker change their tactics. A worthy successor to the other fine books from the minds of the Vantage Partners. Pointed, understandable, actionable, and right on the money. Recommended for anyone who has to interact externally or internally on anything more than a transactional basis. Something to be learned on every page no matter how...
The authors begin with one fundamental and surprisingly neglected point ...
The authors begin with one fundamental and surprisingly neglected point: if you look beyond signing the agreement to the real point of the transaction, you will realize that the negotiation of the deal itself - both how it is done and who participates in the process - can determine whether the ultimate objective will ever be reached. That perspective affects many aspects of preparing for, negotiating, and implementing the deal.

Insights on negotiating deals that work.
The first line of this book's preface asks what many potential readers may be thinking: "Yet another book about negotiation?" The answer is yes, and a much-needed one. Many books on making deals are out there. Some are good, others bad, but most focus on the negotiation process. Even those that emphasize extensive preparation and research tend to focus on the deal itself - making it, improving it, wording it. Danny Ertel and Mark Gordon focus elsewhere. They direct readers to a single core concept: implementation. In doing so, and in illustrating what focusing on implementation means in practice, they add genuinely new insight into negotiation. Shifting the focus to how the deal will work long-term, if it will work, and what sort of precedent the negotiation process establishes for ongoing interaction is extremely valuable. As a result, we recommend this book to anyone involved in negotiation.

This unique thing Offer surpass own prospect, this has chaned into a great upgrade on myself personally, The thought arrived securely as well as speedily What to Do When Good Enough Isn't Good Enough: The Real Deal on Perfectionism: A Guide for Kids

Perfectionism may seem like a worthy goal, but it’s actually a burden. When you believe you must be perfect, you live in constant fear of making mistakes. Most children don’t know what perfectionism is, yet many suffer from it. Nothing they do is ever good enough. School assignments are hard to start or hand in. Relationships are challenging, and self-esteem is low. Written to and for ages 9–13, this book helps kids understand how perfectionism hurts them and how to free themselves. Includes true-to-life vignettes, exercises, and a note to grown-ups.

Review :
I guess I will be the voice of dissent
We have a copy of the book from this series on worry & anxiety and really like it, so I had high hopes for this book. It is well written and a fun & easy read, but it went off a cliff for me when it got to the chapter about where perfectionism originates. In a nutshell the author states that your parents made you this way by harping on your imperfections & ignoring your achievements. As someone with perfectionist tendencies myself and who is a mother to a perfectionist/gifted child, I understand how deeply perfectionist kids feel the tiniest criticism. I think most parents who have half a clue know that your child is born with a temperament and you do the best you can to help them be prepared to face the world with the temperament they have. Telling young kids there parents screwed them up is not helpful. Needless to say I will not be passing this book onto my middle-schooler.

Good book
People always assume perfectionism is a good thing but taken to the extreme, it can be paralyzing. I like to have children's books that deal with emotional issues available for my kids to pick up on our home book shelf. When we first got this book, I read it with them and we used it to initiate conversations on the topic. For one thing, it helped my kids get perspective on their feelings. But I've seen them pick this book up to read on their own, even after we went through it. Even if my kids don't feel like talking to me- they can still get good advice on how to deal with their feelings. We have a good relationship, but I think all kids get tired of hearing advice from their parents. Some times when I try to talk to them about serious issues, it probably feels like a lecture. Books are less threatening. I have a few in this series and they are all good.

A thoughtful, practical, down-to-earth guide
Written by licensed psychologist and family & marriage therapist Thomas S. Greenspon, Ph.D., What to Do When Good Enough Isn't Good Enough: The Real Deal on Perfectionism is a guide written especially for young people, preteens and teenagers about what perfectionism is and learning how to deal with it. What to Do When Good Enough Isn't Good Enough emphasizes that perfectionism isn't just wanting to do well - it's an obsessive fear of performing less-than-perfect in any way, and is always harmful. Perfectionism can and often does interfere with the necessary hard work and learning process involved in undertaking any task; for example, a perfectionist might obsessively worry about a book report so much that he or she turns it in late (or not at all!) because too much time was wasted trying to write it perfectly. A thoughtful, practical, down-to-earth guide, enthusiastically recommended for grade and high school library shelves.

An Essay from Heidi Murkoff
What to Expect started with information--or, actually, lack of information. In fact, when I found out I was expecting for the first time--I didn't have the slightest idea of what to expect. And back then, it wasn't as easy to find out what to expect as you'd think. I created What to Expect When You're Expecting because I couldn't find the answers to my questions or the reassurance for my worries that I was searching for in the pregnancy books I read (and believe me, I read plenty). I was a mom on a mission--a mission to help other moms and dads worry less and enjoy their pregnancies (and their babies, and their toddlers) more. And I've been on that mission ever since.

So what sent me back to recreate What to Expect--for a fourth time? Today, there's definitely no lack of information on pregnancy. In fact there's more information than ever before (a quick online search of pregnancy or a glance at pages and pages of pregnancy and parenting options right here on Amazon will clue you in on that). But often what's still hard to find is the right kind of information. Information that's accurate yet empathetic, reassuring yet realistic--that empowers you, but doesn't overwhelm or confuse you, that guides you but doesn't dictate to you. And it's not just about the right information, it's about information that's presented in the way that's most helpful--easy to access, easy to digest, easy to use. It's about information that makes your pregnant life less stressful--more enjoyable, and, well, easier.

The fourth edition is a new What To Expect for a new generation of readers--you!--and I'm excited to say it's the best What To Expect yet. It's packed with all new information, of course (since things tend to change quickly in the baby-making and baby-delivering business--something you're probably all too aware of already if you've made more than one trip to the birthing room). But it doesn't only take into account what's new in obstetrics and what's new in pregnancy; it takes into account what's relevant to pregnant women now. Lifestyle. Working. Eating on the run. Juggling the pregnant life with real life. Keeping up with relationships. Birthing options that are family friendly and pregnancy care that incorporates the best that complimentary and alternative medicine has to offer. Managing multiples (which more and more moms are carrying). Sorting out the information from the misinformation--the reality from the hype, fact from Internet legend.

The fourth edition also takes into account how you likely use books these days, so the format is even more accessible than ever. More geared to in-the-moment, find-it-in-a-flash reading.

Most important of all, the fourth edition celebrates pregnancy. I have a passion for pregnancy, and always have. I love moms, I love dads, and I love babies. But everything about this fourth edition from the happy, excited mom-to-be on the cover, proudly caressing her beautiful belly and its even more beautiful contents, to the adorable week-by-week description of the making of your baby, to the positive (yet realistic), mom-to-mom tone throughout--this fourth edition is not just an explanation of those 9 amazing (though often bewildering) months you have ahead of you. It's a celebration of them.

What to Expect When You're Expecting fourth edition is everything moms and dads have come to expect from What to Expect... only better. And I can't wait to start sharing it with you.

I guess you can say--I'm a proud mama all over again.

Review :
Good but there are better.
The drawback for this book is it clearly explains almost every possible complication. With the monthly format it is a lot to read at a time. The list of complications and possible symptoms each moth can be very daunting. Yet with all of that the book is also a great resource. It gives you many things to consider that you may never have thought of. It is much more comprehensive than many other pregnancy books. It has some nice charts in the back to help you keep track of weight, size and other notes for the Doctor's or Midwives. It also has a section for coping with pregnancy loss and also preparing for the next child. A good resource for any couple expecting a child. With over 12 Million copies sold this book now, in it's 3rd edition has been trusted by many people. The authors have also written:

Does not deserve to be America's #1 pregnancy book
I just read this book cover to cover. No, seriously. And man, am I glad I was not pregnant at the time.

This is far from the first pregnancy/childbirth/parenting book I've ever read. I'm a health and research nut, and a librarian, so I do a lot of research and reading before I do anything. I try to consult a variety of sources from different viewpoints. Since this is the #1 most-recommended pregnancy book, I figured I might as well read this one too and see what all the fuss is about. I have yet to figure it out.

1) The main issue I have with this book is the clear lack of research that went into it. There are absolutely ZERO references in the entire book (and it is a beast of a book). The author's credentials also seem to be limited to a) she's a mom, and b) she is the author of this book. Yet she spouts "knowledge" and information like it's gospel. The forward is written by an esteemed OB/GYN, and I can see why he endorses the book, which I...
Not the best pregnancy guide
This was "THE BOOK" everyone told me to get when I got pregnant for the first time. So, of course, I ran out and bought it the moment my pregnancy test was positive! But, honestly, I didn't think it was that helpful.
The second chapter is titled "Now that you are Pregnant" and most of that chapter deals with "what you may be concerned about" which could also be titled "everything that could possibly go horribly wrong with your pregnancy" and it scared me half to death. I think it increased the amount of worrying I was doing exponentially [which couldn't have been a good thing!].
I also thought the diet portion was pretty ridiculous. I agree that we need to eat very healthily, especially during pregnancy. I eat very well and I ate especially well when pregnant. However, no human being I've ever met could [or would] stick to this diet plan. It was so strict as to be useless, in my opinion. I think people do much better with a...

With lease options and subject-to deals, investors can control properties worth much more than what they could normally afford to purchase. The potential for profit is great and the costs of getting started are low. This book shows novice investors how author Wendy Patton and thousands of other Americans - including well-known real estate developers and business moguls - use lease options and subject-to deals to control valuable property without necessarily owning it. The cost of purchasing an option or subject-to deal is a fraction of what it costs to buy a home. That's why these kinds of deals are typically found in every serious investor's portfolio. Sharing the secrets and strategies investors use to profit from low- and no-money-down deals, Patton gives investors all the information they need to succeed. 'Finally, a book that explains lease option and subject-to deals in depth and detail. This book is essential for anyone who wants to make money in real estate without using a lot of cash or taking on a lot of risk. A gold mine of great information' - Robert Shemin, "New York Times" bestselling author of "Secrets of Buying and Selling Real Estate Without Using Your Own Money!" 'Few can rival Wendy's knowledge and experience with lease option and subject-to deals. This is a must-read for beginning and advanced investors and the real estate agents who serve them' - Gary Keller, "New York Times" bestselling author of "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor". 'The techniques Patton teaches here are invaluable - especially for working with Realtors and still getting properties for little- or no-money-down. The detail in this book will make you want to read every page' - Albert Lowry, PhD, "New York Times" bestselling author of "How You Can Become Financially Independent by Investing in Real Estate".

Review :
Superb book for beginners and advanced investors alike...
Wendy's book is an excellent primer for beginners wondering "How do all these investors buy houses with no money down?"

I'm here to tell you I learned these techniques from Wendy several years ago and haven't looked back since. I literally have to turn down some homeowners begging to give their houses to me. I only wish this book had been available to me several years ago.

"Investing in Real Estate With Lease Options and 'Subject-To' Deals" by Wendy Patton is one of the few books you'll find at booksellers like Amazon.com that covers "Subject To" techniques in any depth at all. She covers everything from how to find them to how to sell them - complete with checklists and valuable tips learned from hardwon experience.

I've learned more from this one book than from going to some expensive ($2000+) weekend seminars. Although there are limits to how much one author can cover completely within the pages of just one book, Wendy holds nothing back in my...
Very useful - but be wary of some broad assumptions
This book is a great one to get you acquainted with lease-options and subject-to's. Wendy takes you step by step through the process, and also gives you checklists to refer to as you put your deal together. She does however make some broad assumptions from time to time about when either type of contract is beneficial and why. For example, she mentions that owners with good credit are more likely to entertain a lease-option than a subject-to. This is not always the case. Sometimes owners with bad credit are looking for a "leg up", but don't want to surrender title. In that case, they actually might prefer a lease-option. Also in my experience, many owners with good credit prefer a subject-to because they want their name off the title, but don't want to deal with the tax hit of selling the property outright, right now. If they enter a subject-to, they can have their mortgage payments made by the investor, and give them time to have the property reclassified from "primary residence" to...
"The Wendy" Trumps All with Lease Options!
Whether you want to focus on subject-to's or lease options exclusively, or you just want to add another plug-and-play strategy to your other real estate investment business model, this book must be on your desk (not up on your shelf)!

Wendy's strategies are for new and veteran investors alike. More importantly, Wendy's lease option strategies and tactics provide some cash now, cash flow now and later, and a big cash payload down the road. This book gives you the knowledge and tools to start building your cash pipeline this very day.

Take it from me, a dyed-in-the-wool rehabber/wholesaler, I should have started building my lease option cash pipeline years ago...imagine all the paydays along the way I would have had! But now you and I have no excuses, so Carpe Diem!
