Review :
Tips and strategies for dealing with a variety of ornery females.
Speaker, life coach, and author Tanya White builds on her franchise with the release of her delightfully entertaining How to Deal With a Difficult Woman.

How to Deal With a Difficult Woman details the traits and odd behaviors of a variety of difficult, nutty, oblivious, self-centered, and sometimes down right nutty women. Interesting women such as "Lying Leslie," "Hyper Helen", "Snobby Sarah", and "Absent Annie" are detailed within the pages of the book. Particularly humorous is the four headed monster combination of "Hallelujah Helen", "Praise the Lord Patty", "Tongue Talking Tina", and "Demon Casting Diana". The antics of these four ladies could have the preacher running for his life.

Where How to Deal With a Difficult Woman shows its value is the advice that Tanya gives on how to deal with each particular personality. As a useful guide, How to Deal With a Difficult Woman is separated into seven chapters, each grouping a variety of similar behaving women...
Must Live With Them 3.5 STARS
How to Deal With a Difficult Woman by Tanya White is an interesting look at the different types of women in our lives and how we should deal with them. Ms. White profiles 55 female types and describes to us what makes up a type. Following the description is a short paragraph advising the reader how to deal with the type. I found the descriptive type sections to be accurate in many cases and the how to deal with sections to be based in common sense. The book was also divided into categories, such as Church Women, Work Women and Family women which allow readers to turn to the section which is of most interest.

While finding How to Deal with a Difficult Woman interesting and filled with common sense wisdom many of the characterizations could have been compiled. Also, I would have loved to have read first-person accounts of how people used these principles and how they worked for them. I recommend this guide to readers who enjoy practical self-help guides that provide them with...

Review :
Useful but not awesome
First of all, I would have liked this book a lot more if not for the cutesy writing (using a lot of rhymes, like "spirits flagging, body sagging" or whatever) and overuse of cliches. Second, and maybe this is just because I've spent my entire life coping with ridiculous levels of stress, there was not a lot in this book that I didn't already know. I was also irritated by some of the oddly - given the author is female - sexist or patriarchal ideas expressed.

The very end of the book, however, had some useful strategies I haven't yet tried, so I'll be working with those. I'm glad I paid less than $2 for this book, though, because it definitely wasn't worth more than that for me.

LOVE IT!
Love it!
You will too, if you are female
and have stress!

glad I'm human like all of you
Very interesting book that answered a lot of questions that's always been on my mind but could never ask anyone about it, glad I'm human like all of you. :-) Happy reading. :-)

Life as a preteen (a.k.a. “tween”) can be challenging. Life as a stepkid can be equally tough. Put them together, and it can be like climbing Mount Everest…daily. Step-tweens are not only caught between childhood and teenhood—they’re also often caught between two parents, two families, and two homes. This book lets them know they are not alone, helps them identify and express their feelings, and teaches them how to effectively communicate their wants and needs. The engaging format includes lively illustrations, quizzes, advice from other stepkids, “survival tools” to use when the going gets rough, and suggestions for what to do when nothing else seems to be working. With The Step-Tween Survival Guide, tweens will gain the skills and inspiration to both survive and thrive in a stepfamily.

Wish I Had This Book As a Step Tween
Im a 19 year old step kid who wishes I had this book when i was younger and dealing with these issues. The book adresses a lot of the situations we delt with in our step family. Fairness, differnt rules in differnt houses, step parents who try to run the show, different personalities with step siblings aswell as step parents, and different parenting styles. This book gives great examples and great tips on how to deal with and handle these issues. It also showes how to learn from and make the most of hard situations one can be faced with in a step family. This book is helpful to not only tweens but to all kids in step families.

Lively, Informative, Helpful
The authors really know what they're talking about. The illustrations and graphics are perfect for 'tweens and work really well with the testimonials. The advice is thoughtful, and well-researched. A great book to have lying around in plain sight if you're a blended family with 'tweens. They're bound to be drawn in by the friendly illustrations and testimonials from real kids.

Step-parent review of "The Step-Tween Survival Guide"
Lisa Cohn has a brilliant way of identifying, addressing and offering useful solutions to the issues that individuals face in stepfamilies. As a member of a stepfamily, I found her first book tremendously helpful and was pleased to see that she has another which focuses primarily on teens in stepfamilies. Her insight and experience will serve as a practical guide to the thousands who navigate their way through this challenging set of family relationships.

Colin, Gannon and Tye’s neighborhood died quickly, when the world as they knew it was thrust into chaos following a nationwide power outage, their community - along with the rest of society - fractured at the seams. Now, in a last-ditch effort to survive after being separated from their families, the young boys begin a 300-mile adventure across Colorado to the high mountain mesas of the southwest. Their plan is simple: stay alive long enough to reach the centuries-old cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Puebloans and wait out the winter. Early in their trip, the boys come across Gert and her Labrador retriever, Cheyenne. The pair is without family and the group immediately adopts both the girl and her dog. Gert is fearless, smart and - as Gannon points out - cute. Tye’s antics keep them all shaking their heads, but his loyalty is never in question. Colin doesn’t ask to lead the group but, at fifteen, he is the oldest and his compassion for others clearly visible. It’s his brother Gannon’s brainchild that the teenagers head to the cliff dwellings - a decision they all hope they won’t regret.

Review :
A great story of team work and self-reliance!
Ransom paid - Fifth Star released because the author finally released The Marshals: No Man's Land (A Colin, Gert, Gannon and Tye Adventure) (Volume 2)

I grew up reading books like Hatchet and My Side of the Mountain. I was taken back to those great stories when I picked up Survival on Green Mesa.
- The people they meet along the way are authentic and well-crafted. They find themselves up against mad, grizzled, pirating groups and enjoy respite with kinder, gentler souls like Mr. Rodriguez and Mrs. Kitchen.
- There are puzzles, secret rooms, and many "I've got a plan" moments throughout this story. These schemes and secrets create a sense of imagination, teamwork, and respect for each others' strengths.

I want to thank the author for a great read and I am withholding the fifth star ransom until he releases the next book in the series The Marshals..."outlaw groups so evil that...
Great Adventure Novel and a Fun Read
Loved this story. Truly a plausible storyline with very approachable characters. This book is reminiscent of books like the classic survival story, The Hatchet, and it is easily on par with those books from a reading pleasure perspective. I also loved the factual side of this book. The places the kids visited, the history revealed by those places and the classis techniques that the kids used to survive were all fun to learn about. I will definitely be sharing this book with friends and family.

It is written in such a way that it is easy to read
In my opinion, Survival on Green Mesa written by Tim Deal is a clever, insightful, action packed, mystery adventure! It is written in such a way that it is easy to read. I could envision the characters, where they were, what they were doing, how they were doing it and even what they were feeling. I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to see what would happen next. I laughed, I cringed, I cried. What a journey. I would highly recommend this book. One of my favorite quotes from this book is "To him, his breath smelled like the southbound end of a northbound dog." Elizabeth B.
